He is Risen!

Easter Sunday:

 A rousing service

And a potluck meal with the church body

It was so cute; a little girl at church taught him how to throw paper airplanes, and we couldn't get him to stop!

We had invited the P. family over for an Easter dinner, and so we all hurried home to start cleaning and set up.

The guys hauled out the dining table, the sewing table, an extra plastic table, and all the chairs we could find out onto the back porch.

It was trouble finding enough utensils and plates but we finally managed to come out with the right count!

Upon arriving all the boys immediately drifted to the Axis & Allies game that has stayed out on its very own special table.

The P, family added their rolls and ham (and some delicious dessert to come later!) to what we had prepared and it made a robust, scrumptious meal.

Going through the line...

and then somehow finding time to talk while eating, and eating, oh- and eating.

Jerry kept calling it Thanksgiving by mistake. It did cause us to think, thought, about how thankful we are that Christ Jesus rose from the dead.

Yikes! He's a hungry boy!

 Telling hilarious stories!

We banished the cat outdoors for the time. Here, everyone is visiting her.

Playing together.

Then dessert!!!

Numerous games of Foosball by porchlight

The dads talked while the ladies cleaned up,

Just before it grew too dark there was an Easter Egg Hunt.

This little man was very proud of his eggs.

And he was really good at it too!

Once he discovered what was inside he stopped right there and ate every egg clean of its goldfish crackers.

The adults settled down in the living room to talk and the little kids disappeared off to the back bedroom for a crazy, loud game of dress-up. The "Savage Princesses' " yells nearly burst the older kids' ears when they meandered into the bedroom to hang out and talk. And a stuffed animal dog was tossed playfully back and forth a couple times before the night was ended and goodbyes were said.
