Chap and Chum Cook

Good Auntie Kate made two batches of shortbread the other day for the express purpose of getting to cook with Chap and Chum.

Cheesy grins ;)

Happy man!

It was extra fun because shortbread takes kneading, and he loved squeezing the butter and flour together. He's so precise and good at baking! (And thankfully good about not snitching.)

Oh, Chum wants to "dook" too? They ended up making another batch of what they adorably dubbed "cookies" just so he could have a turn stirring and kneading.

I can assure you they both enjoyed eating the shortbread as much as baking it. :)

Water Day and Food Packing

Saturday was our church’s water day. It was super fun!

There was a big inflatable water slide, a little kid slide and bouncy thing, and a small dunk tank.

Paul, Tyler, and some of their friends brought their cool, gigantic, homemade water guns and ice water to get people with, and others mercilessly dumped buckets of water on each other. Imagine standing there and suddenly you are chilled to the bone, soaking, and blinded by some guy who had snuck up without your notice. Lol! It was great!

There was always a long line for the water slide. Some would try a new, creative way of going down, and the gigantic splash that would soak everyone waiting in line was hilarious!

Pearl and a girly friend freezing, happy, and about to go down together.

Throwing a buddy in the pool...

Splash! They got him. :)

Aimee, Kate, and Paul left half way through to go help pack food at "Feed My Starving Children" with some friends. They had a blast!

Soon after they left the water fight was put on hold for a rather wet pot-luck dinner. ;)

And then more splashing was in store.

The End! Be thankful for hot summers, and have a happy day
